Could it be the final
silent accumulation providing an awakening surprise?
Could it be the final
dusting of rooftops all around the neighborhood?
Could it be the final
abstract painting of chaotic tiny footprints across my deck?
Could it be the final
collection of white fluffiness next to red berries on the holly bush?
Could it be the final
embrace of Winter hugging the brittle curved edges of Fall’s leaf litter?
Could it be the final
decorating of my windshield with frozen unique beauty?
Could it be the final
dancing of minuscule frozen water droplets through hazy sunbeams?
Could it be…
possibly!
Awoke to an unexpected snowfall this morning. Trying to embrace the snowflakes of March by looking at it as the possible last ones until next November.

HOPEFULLY, this is the end for this year. While lovely and delicate and all that, it is time for spring!

I like the contrast of the repeated line “Could it be the final” with it’s direct language with the following lines and their more poetic, descriptive language. It intensifies the message.

I love the repetition and question format of your poem. The imagery of all the different pictures you created about your snowfall.
