March Madness makes me mad! Yes, mad as in cross, irritated and sulky.
I know other people LOVE this time of year, however, I don’t. I know this is not a popular opinion. Stop reading if you need to but I needed to let it out. Just curious if anyone else feels the same way.
I’m mad that my guilty pleasure show of The Young and the Restless gets canceled on a Thursday and Friday at 1:30 for two weeks for basketball.
I’m mad that Jeopardy is not on at its usual time of 7:30 PM but at 3:00 AM.
I’m mad that I lose my spouse during the length of the tournament as he watches game after game.
I’m mad that March Madness continues into April. Its name states March so in my opinion it should be done by March 31st.
I’m mad that this happens in the beginning of Spring and I lose my hiking friends for a few weeks just when it is turning lovely again.
March Madness does not make me feel energized and chaotic. It makes me irritated and grumpy.
I agree with the name but my emotions don’t match their intent.

I appreciate your complaints, but we’re March Madness fans in our house. Brackets are a big deal and a great source of family conversation! But yes, it does take over many aspects of life!

Hope you do well in the brackets! Enjoy this favorite time of year for you and yours!

This post had me laughing–especially the line about how it continues into April even though the name clearly says MARCH. I don’t understand bracket mania, but I do enjoy the games–when I start watching early enough. Which I often don’t, because wow, so many games and so much time!

We’re from Indiana where basketball is king! Yes, we watch and watch and watch but do not really participate in the brackets. We had one at school, but everyone just drew out of a hat. My team’s out already! 🙂

March Madness does not really affect my household. I did tune in for the Wisconsin games and was interested in UCONN (one of our prior students plays on the team), but now both teams are out along with my interest.

Haha this made me laugh! Your madness against it is definitely valid, and our family would fall into the madness group.
