My Hair Stylist’s Magic Touch- SOLC Day 6

Oh, your hands are magic wands

snipping, coloring and styling my wild locks

into a face-framing masterpiece-

Swaggering out the door feeling beautiful (until I have to style it tomorrow)

After visiting my hair stylist today, I realized the gratitude I have for her and her talents. I decide to write an ode to her. I walk into the appointments feeling normal and always leave with a bit of swagger. The talent she has to style my hair is amazing to me. Honestly, I relish how it looks for the rest of the day because I know I will not be able to replicate the look in the morning. She is a beauty culturist for sure.

  1. I have a hair stylist I adore and went to get a haircut yesterday! This was timely for me to read. Hair is such an important topic and rich with stories whenever I use it as a prompt. I often use the HAIR essay from Sandra Cisneros. Thank you for this today!

  2. I can actually imagine how one would “Swagger” as you feel like a superstar after a pampering like that. The moment is to be savored as like you put it , it many not be replicated the following day.
