Yesterday was sunny and Springy
I was energetic and light.
Today was gray, misty, wet
I was slow, humdrum, flat.
I personify
each day’s weather.
Tomorrow
will be
who?
Poetic form: Nonet ( a 9 line poem – each line contains a descending syllable count from 9,8,7….1)

Yes – I am so affected by the weather too. If it’s sunny, I feel more optimistic. I find nonets a good form to flesh out feelings. I love your photo too!

I love the photos that WordPress provides as a library to select from. I have been finding many great ones there.

Weather does affect out mood and outlook for the day. Today started off dreary but sun predicted for the afternoon. Will my mood change as the day goes on? We’ll see.

Sometimes I wonder about structures like the Monet but here it is perfect for your theme. Or i should say, you used it so effectively. And I really like your poem. Others write about making their mood no matter what but we all feel what you describe at least to some degree. I like your descriptors, and how light and flat make sense as opposites.

I wrote a nonet, too. I love this poem. The weather has been really impacting how I feel. I am so tired of the rain, so when I come home all I want to do is crawl back into bed.
