Thank you to the Slice of Life community. This was my first year slicing and it was so meaningful. Thank you to the creators for this space that gathers teachers, writers and lovers of words. Thank you to all the slicers who put your thoughts out into the world so honestly. I was inspired by you and learned so much from you. Because of your posts, I tried out new prompts and new types of writing. On what a great month it has been!
I wrote for all 31 days! I went into this with no expectations- just write when I could but then the community kept me returning to read and write each day. So to honor my first year as a slicer, I made a list poem of my blog’s titles from 1st to 31st.
Can’t hold that much joy!
Calmed and renewed,
bravo to the bouquet
my world went monochrome
worry….doze….worry….doze
the candy jar falls in defeat
a question that stuck
10 things I’ve been meaning to say to Alaska…
oh sun, you are a trickster
ode to maple trees
bullseye- huzzah!
pinball soul tune
finally a winter foray
morning grumbles
fortunately, I now have inspiration
a few of my favorite things
lucky me
a birthday itself is the true gift
my best colors
songs of my life
really, it’s a gift?
come out and enjoy the day
recipe for a happy mom’s heart
which movie is it?
traditions tether us forever
student gift + word play= math poems
Spring haiku hunt
can email be poetry?
applaud the ordinary
yesterday, today, tomorrow
oh what a month!!
